Social Skills Summer Camp
Ages 9-12
What is Social Skills Summer camp?
Our Social Skills Camp uses role play, group games, and organic social interactions to help kids practice communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork. Each session includes guided activities and group discussions to support learning, growth, and weekly skill themes.

Who Can Enroll?
Children ages 9–12 who would benefit from social skill building, especially those who:

Have completed ABA programs

Receive light IEP or school support
-
Have near‑typical communication skills
-
Do not engage in unsafe or injurious behaviors
To participate children must:

Not be enrolled in intensive ABA services
-
Not show serious aggression
-
Have no unsafe elopement concerns (e.g., running/hiding)

Be within typical ranges for expressive and receptive language
-
Be 9–12 years old
What Will My Child Learn?
Campers will practice:

Sharing information in conversations
-
Making and choosing healthy friendships
-
Using humor appropriately
-
Starting and joining group conversations
Parents receive weekly progress updates on skills practiced and activities completed.
Camp Cost
Many insurance plans — including ForwardHealth — may cover camp. Copays or deductibles may apply depending on your plan.
How Do I Get Started?
Click the "Join Us" button below to complete our camp interest form or call the Stevens Point center to check availability. An initial interview is required for authorization. Space is limited for each session.
