Social Skills Summer Camp
Ages 5-8
What is Social Skills Summer camp?
Our Social Skills Camp uses movement, sports, and active games to help kids practice teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving. Each session includes group activities, discussions, and reflection to support learning and confidence.

Who Can Enroll?
Children ages 5–8 who would benefit from extra support in social, emotional, or communication skills — including kids who:

Have completed ABA programs

Receive light IEP or school support
-
Have near‑typical communication skills
-
Do not engage in unsafe or injurious behaviors
To enroll children must:

Not be in intensive ABA services
-
Have no serious aggression
-
Have no unsafe elopement (running/hiding) concerns

Be in the typical range for expressive and receptive language

Be 5–8 years old
What Will My Child Learn?
Campers will practice skills such as:

Coping and self‑regulation

Verbal and nonverbal social communication

Flexible thinking during play
-
Understanding emotions
-
Responding appropriately in social situations
Parents receive weekly updates on goals and progress.
Camp Cost
Many insurance plans — including ForwardHealth — may cover camp. Copays or deductibles may apply depending on your plan.
